JOHOR BAHRU, March 22 — The number of flood victims in Batu Pahat continued to drop to 1,086 as of 8pm, compared to 1,813 recorded at 4pm, following the closure of seven temporary relief centres in the district.

The State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN), in a statement, said among the centres closed were SA Seri Binjai, SA Seri Medan, SK Seri Manggis, and SK Sri Bandan.

It said that with the closure of the seven centres, only 10 centres, housing 299 families, are still operating and that none of the rivers exceeded the danger level either.
