Only 967 flood victims still at PPS in Batu Pahat

JOHOR BAHRU, March 23 — The number of flood victims in Batu Pahat continued to show a decrease, with only 967 people still at the relief centres (PPS) as of 8am today, compared to 1,086 at 8pm yesterday.

According to the State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN), in a statement today, two more PPS have been closed, namely, the Sri Medan Community Hall and SK Seri Telok, leaving only eight PPS still operating to accommodate the evacuees, involving 269 families.

The weather in all ten districts in the state is reported to be sunny, it said.
