KLANG, March 11 — GM Klang Wholesale Centre offers over 300 Sabah small and medium enterprise (SME) products as an effort to promote locally produced products.
Its managing director Datuk Lim Seng Kok said that among the products offered are food, drinks, accessories and traditional fashion pieces located at Authentic Sabah, ground floor of Block A.
“In addition, various types of coffee drinks from Sabah are also available for sale at this shop.
“Through cooperation with the Sabah Industrial Development and Research Department (DIDR), this helps bring together traders and entrepreneurs from all over under one roof, thus supporting our role as the most comprehensive wholesale center in Southeast Asia,” he said when met after the opening ceremony of Authentic Sabah Mart at GM Klang which was officiated by Sabah Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Phoong Jin Zhe, here yesterday.
Meanwhile, Phoong said the strategic location and proximity to the port were among the factors GM Klang was chosen to market Sabah SME products.
“Besides being the choice of entrepreneurs and wholesalers to get goods because it is the largest wholesale center in Malaysia so far, GM Klang’s location close to Port Klang is an attractive factor.
“It is one of the strategies to save logistics costs that our entrepreneurs often face in trying to market their products to the Peninsula,” he said.
