Over 3,500 visitors throng nine JER locations state-wide today

SHAH ALAM, March 2 — Some 3,600 people visited nine locations where the Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat (JER) sales roadshow were held today, to purchase basic necessites at affordable prices.

Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) sales manager Izzul Fadhli Hamzah said items like chicken, eggs, beef, fish and rice bags were among the popular choices that sold out in nearly every location.

“Each location saw an average of 400 people, collecting around RM18,000. For all nine, 3,600 shoppers came by with a collection of RM162,000 in revenue,” he said when contacted today.

JER, a state government programme via PKPS, ran in nine state constituencys from 10am to 1pm today.

This included Pukal Padi along Jalan Tali Air 12, Sungai Nibong for the Sungai Panjang state constituency, Pondok KRT Flat RP5 in front of Klinik Kesihatan Rawang for the Rawang state constituency, AU5D for the Hulu Kelang state constituency, Open Hall Taman Dewan Kundang for the Kuang state constituency, and KRT Taman Muda for the Teratai state constituency.

Other locations are Bandar Teknologi Kajang for the Sungai Ramal state constituency, Pejabat Daerah dan Tanah Klang for the Pandamaran state constituency, the open space next to Restoran Jumaat in Padang Jawa for the Sungai Kandis state constituency, and thegrounds of SJK(T) Sungai Sedu for the Banting state constituency.

The items on sale at JER include standard chicken at RM10 per pack, fresh solid beef (RM10 per pack) and Grade B chicken eggs (RM10 per tray), mackerel fish (RM6 per pack), 5kg cooking oil (RM25) and 5kg bags of rice (RM10).

The initiative has benefited over two million Selangor residents when it was implemented from September to December last year.
