Payung Rahmah initiative continues to grow — Minister

KUALA LUMPUR, March 17 — The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN)’s Payung Rahmah initiative continues to grow nationwide with more local entrepreneurs taking part in it.

Its minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub said Szblooms is one of the local companies that launched the Juala Rahman programme today, offering internationally branded household and beauty products, at discounted prices for as low as RM49.90 for consumers.

The Payung Rahmah initiative is a manifestation of the government’s concern and concept of caring for the people, especially the low-income group, in collaboration with the strategic partners involved.

“KPDN remains committed to ensuring everyone under the Malaysia MADANI concept is protected and not burdened by the increase in the cost of living under today’s challenging and uncertain circumstances,” he said in a statement today.

Salahuddin said KPDN has always supported efforts implemented by the retail industry in the country to encourage Malaysians to spend by giving additional incentives or added value to consumers.

He also hoped that such efforts would be able to attract the attention of Malaysians, especially consumers to purchase quality goods at cheap and affordable prices.

The Szblooms Jualan Rahmah initiative at Bandar Puteri Bangi, Kajang today offered discounts for internationally branded household and beauty products, while other traders around the premises also implemented the Jualan Rahmah and Menu Rahmah programmes at their respective premises.
