PJ Startup Festival returns in 2023

SHAH ALAM, March 31 — The fourth edition of the PJ Startup Festival will take place tomorrow and Sunday (April 2), showcasing some of the best startups from Malaysia and the region.

Organised by Kampung Tunku state assemblyman Lim Yi Wei and the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) councillors from Zones 6, 7, 11, 13, 16, 19, and 20, the festival will feature discussion panels, startup showcases, and corporate presentations.

Taking place at Dewan Sivik MBPJ from 9am to 5pm, several dignitaries are expected to grace the event, including Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, state executive councillor for housing Rodziah Ismail, Human Resources Minister V. Sivakumar, International Trade and Industry Deputy Minister Liew Chin Tong, along with Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, among others.

The Social Security Organisation is also cooperating with the festival to host the Festival MYFutureJobs Career Job Fair, featuring 14 employers conducting open interviews with job seekers.

Supported by MBPJ, the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation, and its venture capital partners, the PJ Startup Festival is a grassroots startup and the largest free digital economy event on the calendar, with nearly 100 companies participating.
