SHAH ALAM, March 14 — The organisation of the Jelajah Kita Selangor Penyayang (JKSP) first phase roadshows in nine locations throughout the state costs RM4.16 million.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the allocation for the success of the programme formerly known as the Jelajah Selangor Penyayang (JSP) roadshow was approved by the Selangor State Executive Council.

He said that the reorganised roadshow from the Peduli Rakyat (IPR) initiative received an overwhelming response with attendance reaching 14,100 in eight locations as of last week.

“God willing, this weekend, JKSP will reach its ninth location in Sabak Bernam. This time, we are using manual public registration,” he said to answer Semenyih assemblyman Zakaria Hanafi who questioned the cost spent by the state government in making JKSP a success in the Selangor State Legislative Assembly session today.

In response to Sungai Panjang assemblyman Datuk Mohd Imran Tamrin’s questions on JKSP components, Amirudin said the JKSP still maintains the JSP components with the addition of incentives from the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang programme.

“(This includes) information on Insan (Selangor General Insurance Scheme), RiDE (Roda Darul Ehsan) programme, in addition to open registrations of the Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor (Bingkas) and updating information on Impak (Selangor Early Childhood Care and Education) programme,” he said.

JKSP began on February 18 in Klang and ends in Sabak Bernam this Sunday, while Aidilfitri Open House and Rewang Sekampung from April 28 to May 14.

Previously, Amirudin announced that the programme, which was organised from June last year, would be held for only one day at each location but with more activities.
