Sultan offers condolences to family of PKNS first general manager

SHAH ALAM, March 1 — Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin express their condolences to the family of the late Dato’ Mohd Tahir Abdul Rahim, who died on February 27.

According to a statement on Selangor Royal Office’s Facebook today, the late Mohd Tahir, 91, was the first former general manager of Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS).

Their Royal Highnesses described the deceased as an important individual in realising the development of Shah Alam as the state capital in the late 1960s.

“His Royal Highness knew the deceased as a very dedicated person in the field of administration and also active in sports,” said the statement.

The statement said the late Mohd Tahir was awarded the Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Selangor (DPMS) in 1975 by the late Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.

“Both Royal Highnesses pray that his soul may be blessed and rest in peace,” it said.
