Sultan, Tengku Permaisuri wishes Muslims a pleasant Ramadan

By Diana Abd Wahab

SHAH ALAM, March 23 — The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj has advised Muslims in the state to continuously enliven the mosques and suraus in Selangor during the ongoing Ramadan period.

His Royal Highness also advised them to make the sacred month a time of introspection and self-reflection, and to avoid engaging in reprehensible acts like infighting and backbiting.

“Sultan Sharafuddin has decreed that Ramadan is the best month in which one’s good deeds are manifoldly rewarded, as well as to carry out charitable deeds,” said the statement in a Facebook post by the Selangor Royal Office.

To this, His Royal Highness and the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin jointly wished a pleasant Ramadan 1444 of the Hijri calendar, to all Muslims nationwide and particularly in Selangor.
