SHAH ALAM, March 24 — A burst pipe at Taman Mutiara Bukit Raja 2 in Klang is expected to affect the water supply to 55 areas in the Klang and Shah Alam regions, said Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd.
It said the water disruption will begin at around 10pm tonight, as repair works commence to rectify the situation.
“These repair works are expected to be fully completed at 6am tomorrow. Water supply is expected to be distributed in stages, once the water supply distribution system has been stabilised after the repair works are completed,” Air Selangor said in a statement.
It said the duration of the disruption and the recovery in affected areas will vary, depending on the location of consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.
“To this, we will be mobilising water tankers to affected areas, with priority given to critical premises like hospitals, dialysis centres and funerals.
“Therefore, we advise affected consumers to keep an adequate supply of water and to use water prudently during unscheduled water supply disruption,” Air Selangor said.
Consumers can obtain information on this disruption from time to time through communication channels, including the Air Selangor app, on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, or contact Air Selangor at 15300.
Further questions and complaints can be submitted to the Help Centre on the website www.airselangor.com, and the Air Selangor app.
