Water supply to 50 plus affected Klang, Shah Alam areas nears 20 pct

SHAH ALAM, March 25 — The water supply restoration to 55 areas in the Klang and Shah Alam regions is now at 18.2 per cent, as of 12pm today.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd said it will begin to be distributed in stages to consumers’ premises once the water supply system is stabilised, and is expected to fully recover by 6am tomorrow.

“The recovery period differs from one area to another, according to the location and distance of consumers’ premises,” it said in a statement.

Air Selangor reminded consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap runs until the water is clear, before using it for daily consumption

“We hope consumers who have received their water supply will use it prudently, to ensure the recovery process in the other affected areas runs smoothly as scheduled,” it said.

Consumers can obtain information on this disruption from time to time through communication channels, including the Air Selangor app, on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter, or contact Air Selangor at 15300.

Further questions and complaints can be submitted to the Help Centre on the website www.airselangor.com, and the Air Selangor app.

The unscheduled water supply disruption was caused by burst pipe incident yesterday, at Taman Mutiara Bukit Raja 2 in Klang.
