Aidilfitri: AADK allows visits from family members, guardians from April 24-May 1

KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 — The National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) will hold visit sessions for family members or guardians of AADK residents, in conjunction with the Aidilfitri celebration, from April 24 to May 1.

AADK said that the visits involve residents who are following the Institutional Treatment and Rehabilitation (RPDI) programme at 30 Narcotics Addiction Rehabilitation Centres (Puspen) nationwide.

“The visits aim to strengthen the relationship between the residents and the family members or guardians, give moral and emotional support, and the family can see for themselves the progress of the rehabilitation of the residents under the RPDI programme,” it said in a statement.

It also provides space and opportunity between the family members or guardians and the residents to get together to support their rehabilitation efforts.

Those who wish to participate in the visit need to contact their respective rehabilitation officers at Puspen via phone calls, short messages, WhatsApp, letters or emails.

The public can also contact Puspen to get more information about the session, or call the AADK hotline at 1-800-22-AADK (2235) or 019-626 2233 (WhatsApp) to get advice or complain about drug problems.
