Bukit Lanjan allocates over RM60,000 for Ramadan progs

SHAH ALAM, April 7 — The Bukit Lanjan state constituency has provided more than RM60,000 in allocations for various programmes during the ongoing Ramadan fasting month.

Its state assemblyman Elizabeth Wong said the funds include RM41,000 in donations to five mosques and 19 suraus, which will go to covering their expenses and management costs.

“RM15,000 has also been allocated to distribute Hari Raya Aidilfitri shopping vouchers and food baskets for Bukit Lanjan residents and the poor.

“RM7,500 will go to 1,500 Rahmah Ramadan coupons, which will be given to visitors at three selected Ramadan bazaars in the area to purchase fast-breaking meals,” she said when contacted.

In addition, 500 coupons worth RM5 each were distributed to members of the public at Selayang Utama on March 31, with another 500 coupons distributed at Damansara Damai on April 1.

“We will distribute the remaining 500 coupons at Taman Ehsan this Sunday (April 9),” Wong said.
