Moderate earthquake hits south of Bali, Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 — A moderate earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale struck south of Bali, Indonesia at 8.37am today.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a statement said the earthquake occurred 61 kilometres (km) southeast of Denpasar, Indonesia at a depth of 750km.

However, it posed no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
