Its Deputy President Adi Faizal Ahmad Tarmizi said this amounted to approximately 72.06 per cent of the council’s assessment tax collection target for the year, which is RM57 million.

“MPS has also collected RM3.6 million or 30.12 per cent of assessment tax arrears during the same period.

“The total amount of assessment tax arrears require collection is RM12 million,” he said during the council’s monthly meeting yesterday.

Adi Faizal added that MPS is currently carrying out a campaign to pay assessment taxes online, so as to make it easier for owners.

“The payments can be made via MyMPS, Lazada, Shopee and Cepat portals, and began in January.

“Members of the public can also pay their taxes in person at the payment counter, situated at Menara MPS’ lobby, in branch counters at Rawang, Sri Gombak and Wangsa Permai, or at MPS mobile counters,” he said.
