SHAH ALAM, May 23 — Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) has distributed over 2,000 bottles of RO water to residents of apartments in areas experiencing unscheduled water supply disruptions due to a burst pipe incident at Jalan Bukit Cerakah in Bandar Puncak Alam, Kuala Selangor.

Air Selangor said the effort is part of the water company’s initiative to assist consumers affected by the water cut as water supply recovery to the affected areas in Klang, Shah Alam, and Kuala Selangor resumes in stages.

The state agency said that water tankers were also mobilised to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres, and funeral homes.

“The duration of water supply recovery in the affected areas may vary depending on the location of consumers’ premises and the water pressure in the distribution system.

“During this unscheduled water supply disruption, Air Selangor has distributed over 2,000 bottles of RO water to residential areas in apartments,” it said in a Facebook post today.

Air Selangor acting chief executive officer Abas Abdullah and Pelabuhan Klang state assemblyman Azmizam Zaman Huri were also involved in the distribution of the RO water bottles at Pangsapuri Pendamar, Pelabuhan Klang.

In an earlier statement today, Air Selangor stated that the burst pipe repair works were completed at 3am this morning.

Water supply is expected to be fully restored by 12 am on Wednesday (May 24) to the affected areas in Klang and Shah Alam, and by 9 pm on Wednesday to the areas affected in Kuala Selangor.

For further information on the unscheduled water supply disruption, consumers can visit Air Selangor’s official communication channels through the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, or contact Air Selangor at 15300.
