By Selangor Journal Team

SHAH ALAM, May 22 – The emergency repairs work due to a pipe burst incident at Jalan Bukit Cerakah in Bandar Puncak Alam, Kuala Selangor, will be completed by 3am tomorrow (May 23), says Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).

The repair works aimed to resolve the incident promptly began today at 9am.

However, residents in 99 areas in Shah Alam, Klang and Kuala Selangor will face unscheduled water supply disruption during this period.

Air Selangor said 76 water tankers have been mobilised to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres and funerals.

“The duration of this water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the location of the consumer’s premises and the water pressure at the distribution system. The list of areas that are affected by the unscheduled water supply disruption is listed as shown,” said Air Selangor in a statement today.

Similarly, alternative water supply assistance through four Local Service Centres (PKS) is also provided for the convenience of consumers at the locations listed as shown.

Commercial customers can also purchase water supply from Air Selangor’s customer service counters located in the Petaling and Kuala Selangor regions. In addition, three local water filling stations have been set up to accommodate the water needs of commercial customers.

For further information on the unscheduled water supply disruption, visit Air Selangor’s official communication channels including the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or contact Air Selangor at 15300.
