KUALA SELANGOR, May 6 — The Bukit Melawati state constituency has spent RM400,000 to build the Selangor Penyayang community hall in Kampung Kuantan.

Its state assemblyman Juwairiya Zulkifli said the high-impact project will benefit residents in four villages, particularly in Mukim Pasangan.

“At present, I have selected one area, which is Kampung Kuantan, for the construction of the hall. It will take some time, but it is a high-impact project.

“The area still lacks any community hall facilities. We hope the infrastructure project can be completed before July,” she said.

Juwairiya was speaking at the flag-off ceremony for the Bukit Melawati Lebarun race at Dataran Malawati earlier today, which saw 1,300 runners participate.

The event was officiated by Youth and Sports Deputy Minister Adam Adli Abdul Halim.

Through the 2023 Selangor Budget, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari allocated RM28 million under the Selangor Penyayang project initiative, as part of the efforts to stimulate the local economy.

The project will prioritise the implementation of infrastructure maintenance and upgrade works, as well as developing government public facilities, including for those which do not have annual maintenance allocations.
