SHAH ALAM, May 26 — The state’s free health screening programme Selangor Saring’s second phase be held in the state constituencies of Permatang and Hulu Bernam this weekend.
State executive councillor for public health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud recommended its residents bring their family members and themselves to the programme, which runs from 9am to 3pm.
“Do not miss the opportunity to receive free health check-up services including physical check-ups, blood tests, urine tests, cancer screenings, eye, teeth, ears, and also physiotherapy,” she said in a Facebook post.
For Permatang, Selangor Saring will take place at Dewan Kampung Sg Gulang Gulang on Saturday (May 28), while for Hulu Bernam it will be at the Hulu Bernam state assemblyman’s office on Sunday (May 29).

Earlier on, Dr Siti Mariah said Selangor Saring is among the six initiatives that were introduced specifically for state residents, starting with free screening, financial assistance, and funding.
The state government has allocated RM3.4 million to implement Selangor Saring, which is aimed at individuals with a family history of hereditary ailments, obese individuals, and those leading unhealthy lifestyles.
