KLIBF: IBDE brings over 20,000 books with up to 20 pct discounts

SHAH ALAM, May 26 — Inisiatif Buku Darul Ehsan (IBDE) is offering 20,000 books to visitors of the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) 2023, which begins today.

IBDE sales and marketing manager Ainunl Muaiyanah Muhammad Sulaiman said they include 70 book titles, including some works from other publications.

“For KLIBF, are carrying over 20,000 books from the 70 book titles we publish. In addition, there are also some copies from other publications.

“We are also offering a 10 per cent price discount for anyone who purchases more than 10 books and a 20 per cent discount for IBDE members,” she told SelangorKini.

Ainunl added that IBDE will also organise a casual discussion session at its exhibit, during the 10-day run of the nation’s biggest book festival.

Visitors also stand the chance of winning prizes in the form of cash and souvenirs, via the lucky wheel-spinning contest and the best translation contest.

“We will also provide space for visitors to share their opinions by voting for the best book title and book cover,” she said.

Now in its 40th year, KLIBF 2023 will take place at the World Trade Center (WTC) Kuala Lumpur from today until June 4.

The fair features 811 exhibits, including 30 exhibits by international book publishers and 138 exhibitors, both domestic and international.
