SUBANG JAYA, May 25 — The 10th edition of the MBSJ @ Selamat Pagi Subang Jaya Car-Free Day programme will see a variety of activities for visitors when it takes place on June 4.

Subang Jaya Mayor Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim said the programme will be held along Jalan SS16/1, in front of the Aeon Big Subang Jaya supermarket and the Subang Parade shopping centre.

“Various additional activities were designed in an effort to attract more visitors to participate in the programme.

“They include an endurance (bicycle) competition, a karaoke competition, a TikTok and Instagram contest, a children’s cycling competition (run bike), as well as streetball and street soccer,” he said.

Mohd Fauzi was speaking during the local authority’s monthly meeting at MBSJ Headquarters in Subang Jaya yesterday.

Other activities during the MBSJ @ Selamat Pagi Subang Jaya Car-Free Day programme include running, leisurely walking, cycling, free health check-ups, archery, cupping (bekam), abseiling, rappelling, as well as lucky draws.

The programme, which began in August last year, takes place on the first Sunday of every month, as part of MBSJ’s efforts to turn Subang Jaya into a low-carbon city by 2030.
