Negeri Sembilan KPDN seizes over 37,000 litres of subsidised diesel

SEREMBAN, May 26 — The Negeri Sembilan Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry confiscated 37,570 litres of subsidised diesel from a premise in Kampung Sungai Nipah, Port Dickson here yesterday.

Its director Muhammad Zahir Mazlan said the team also seized two tankers, with a total value of RM114,755 during the Op Tiris raid.

“The location is in a palm oil plantation and we found an open area with two skid tanks and two tankers with engines still running. There was no person in the compound and they are believed to have fled when they noticed the presence of the raiding team.

“A thorough inspection revealed that there was oil in the skid tank and the tanker, believed to be diesel. During the raid, we found that diesel oil was being transferred from one tanker to a second tanker,” he said in a statement today.

The case is being investigated under the Control of Supplies Act 1961.
