SHAH ALAM, June 1 — The Selangor Platform (Plats) aims to provide extensive support to a significant number of local entrepreneurs, particularly those who are new to entrepreneurial ventures, through the Hijrah Tour Selangor (Hits) programme.

Plats project coordinator Azizul Hussin Zainal Abidin said as of January, a total of 20,139 entrepreneurs have received assistance to facilitate the continued growth of their businesses.

“Plats is a specialized initiative by the state government, offering free business support and digital entrepreneurial training to participants.

“Entrepreneurs who are interested can actively participate in the Hits programme, organised by Yayasan Hijrah Selangor, to meet with Plats representatives and gain further insights,” he said during the programme yesterday.

On his part, App Engage chief operating officer Tan Wei Kiat said the retail company has noticed a lack of awareness among many entrepreneurs on the importance of having a website for their businesses.

“Numerous business owners do not possess a website, which is pivotal for entrepreneurs in both the e-commerce and offline sectors, as it plays a crucial role in promoting their products and instilling confidence in customers.

“As a content company, we are fully prepared to assist entrepreneurs in developing their own websites and implementing effective digital marketing strategies,” he said.

Earlier, 30 entrepreneurs from various industries, actively participated in the ongoing Hits programme at Pustaka Raja Tun Uda, which runs until this Sunday (June 4).
