SHAH ALAM, June 5 — The state government is planning to organise several special programmes to engage with younger generations in the future, said the state executive councillor for youth generation Mohd Khairuddin Othman.

He said this is in response to the positive feedback received from Karnival Jom Heboh, which was held in collaboration between the state government and Media Prima Berhad yesterday.

“If allowed to do so, we want to hold more vibrant programmes and have many special tents for Selangor’s residents.

“Presently, for next week we will start by gathering 3,000 e-hailing drivers to distribute RM500 in assistance to each of them, in addition to organising a fun run and career exploration or career fair.

“This is for Selangor residents who are very ‘sporting’ and have always supported the state government,” Mohd Khairuddin said during Karnival Jom Heboh’s closing ceremony at Stadium Shah Alam, yesterday evening.

Earlier, the inaugural programme was officiated by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

It also featured the Jom Heboh concert, with performances by local artists including Haqiem Rusli, Afieq Shazwan, and Kumpulan OVA.

Karnival Jom Heboh serves as a platform to engage with younger generations and to promote the creation of a Madani society through activities that emphasise family and sports.
