SHAH ALAM, June 13 — In conjunction with the 78th birthday of Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, 169 people from seven districts were conferred with state awards yesterday.
The recipients were from Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat, Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam and Sepang.
Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah presented the awards to the recipients at an investiture ceremony at Dewan Jubli Perak Sultan Abdul Aziz here, yesterday and today.
Twenty-four recipients were awarded with Pingat Pekerti Terpilih and 15 received Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang Selangor.
Pingat Jasa Kebaktian went to 114 people, while 16 received Pingat Perkhidmatan Selangor for having served as state government employees for more than 20 years.
