KUALA LUMPUR, June 6 — The Asean Secretariat is ready to render its full support to Malaysia as the Asean chair next year.
This was expressed by its secretary-general Kao Kim Hourn in a meeting with Malaysia’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang in Siem Reap, Cambodia, today.
“The secretary-general also applauded Malaysia for making a firm commitment to enhance the start-up ecosystem in Asean,” said Asean on X (formerly Twitter)
Kao and Chang’s meeting took place on the sidelines of the 20th Asean Ministerial Meeting on Science, Technology, and Innovation (AMMSTI-20) in Siem Reap.
Malaysia will take over the Asean chairmanship from Laos next year.
