TANAH MERAH, June 22 — A total of 1,878 Madani Communities throughout the country will channel information on the government’s aspirations, policies and issues to Malaysians.
Information Department deputy director-general (digital content) Erwin Khairul Ahmad said if the public does not understand or know about a government policy, Madani Communities will explain it to them.
“The government wants the public to easily access information on policies, programmes and initiatives available to them,” he told reporters after officiating the Tanah Merah Jiwa Madani Community event at SMK Gual Ipoh here today.
He said his department would hold monthly briefings on current issues involving the government spokesman, information officials and Madani Community committee members.
“We have a strong strategy, and Madani Communities will be a ‘close bridge’ connecting the government and village communities.
“Madani Communities will help market government information, digitalise communities and instil the spirit of unity, patriotism and nationalism,” he said.
