SHAH ALAM, June 4 — Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) will begin scheduled maintenance works on its Sungai Selangor Phase One Water Treatment Plant tomorrow at 9 am.
The maintenance works, including the replacement of assets, are scheduled for completion at 7 pm on the same day, although it will cause water cuts and disruptions in the districts of Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor.
Air Selangor said all affected users will get back their water supply in phases from 3 am on Thursday, once the main distribution system is stabilised.
“Water tankers will also make rounds to the affected locations, especially to important institutions like hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral homes,” the water provider said in a statement on Facebook.
As for commercial users, treated water can be bought from any of Air Selangor’s customer service counters in the affected districts.
“Commercial users can bring their own tankers to fill up at the water stations in Breamer Estet (Hulu Langat), Taman Gemilang Dengkil, Pekan Salak (Sepang), and Taman Banting Baru (Kuala Langat),” the statement added.
Air Selangor has advised users to stock up on water early, and to use the resource economically during the period of disruption.
