HULU SELANGOR, July 2 — The Bandar Saujana Putra flyover, which aims to address traffic congestion in the area, will open to the public on Sunday after several delays.
State executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Izham Hashim said the opening of the 820m flyover, which connects the South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) and North-South Expressway Central Link (Elite), will be officiated by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
“The final technical inspection has been completed, and everything is in good shape. The flyover will be opened on July 7,” he said at the reopening ceremony for Jalan Batang Kali-Genting Highlands here yesterday.
In April 2019, Amirudin announced an allocation of RM60 million to build the flyover to alleviate congestion in the area.
He said the flyover would benefit some 65,000 residents and motorists using the SKVE and Elite.
The project was originally scheduled for completion in December last year, but movement restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic, labour shortages, utility line works were among issues that led to delays.
The Bandar Saujana Putra flyover was developed by Seribu Baiduri Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of LBS Bina Group Bhd.
