ECX24 returns with RM300,000 in prizes for top e-commerce innovators

SHAH ALAM, July 31 — The Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) proudly announces the return of the Selangor E-Commerce Xccelerator Programme 2024 (ECX24) for its second cohort, offering an impressive RM300,000 prize pool to transform 50 Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SME) brands. 

This four-month intensive programme is set to revolutionise the e-commerce landscape by equipping businesses with cutting-edge skills and insights from seasoned mentors.

ECX24 targets businesses across key sectors including food and beverages; home living and appliances; fashion and lifestyle; health, beauty and wellness; and social impact.These sectors will gain a lot from the programme’s tailored content and networking opportunities, helping them improve their operations.

Participants will engage in comprehensive skill enhancement and expert mentorship designed to elevate their operations. The programme includes dynamic workshops covering advanced growth hacking, artificial intelligence (AI) integration, digital marketing, and brand development. Intensive pitching clinics will prepare businesses for investment and expansion, giving them strategies to succeed in today’s market.

The first cohort of ECX24 was highly successful. Companies like The Pastel Shop, Shapee, Big Bath, Nori and Sono Ultrasound saw their valuations rise to up to RM77 million, proving the programme’s impact. These success stories highlight the potential benefits awaiting new participants in the second cohort.

The top 10 winners of ECX24 will share prizes worth RM300,000, including trophies, certificates, overseas business trips, potential investment opportunities and cash prizes. This programme offers instant benefits and sets the stage for long-term growth, making it a great opportunity for ambitious SMEs.
