Cosmetics company the winner of 5th SAY Aspire

SUBANG JAYA, Aug 14 — Cosmetics company DASC International Sdn Bhd was crowned the champion of the fifth edition of the Selangor Youth Community (SAY) Aspire programme today.

Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah presented the award to its founder cum managing director Nurhidayah Roslan during a ceremony at the Sunway Resort and Spa Hotel.

His Highness also presented awards to the second-place winner Citra Kesom Sdn Bhd and the third-place winner Skinny Bakers Group Sdn Bhd.

All three winners received high-impact rewards, including sponsored flights to a chosen country for promotion and business negotiations.

They will also receive special mentoring, booths, and business networking sessions, as well as opportunities to collaborate with the relevant agencies.

Meanwhile, toothpaste company Al-Meswak Mu’min Sdn Bhd and the instant prayer clothing seller Zaahara Ventures Sdn Bhd were selected as recipients of special awards.

Earlier, Tengku Amir led the judging process, which involved 10 finalists, along with several other individuals, including state executive councillor for youth, sports, and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi.

SAY Aspire is an entrepreneurial development programme for youths with the potential to expand products and services to global markets through guidance courses and export strategy training.

The programme, which began in 2018, is open to companies operating in Selangor, with directors aged between 18 to 40 years, and who have not been declared bankrupt or blacklisted.

This year, SAY Aspire, which has been ongoing since January, involved the participation of 30 micro, small, and medium enterprise entrepreneurs, with 10 companies qualifying for the final stage.
