SHAH ALAM, Aug 28 — A total of 6,358 Rumah Idaman units are set to be completed and handed over to buyers in stages from next year, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
Amirudin said the key handover involves 2,912 units in 2025, followed by 3,442 units in 2026, reported Sinar Harian.
“In just those two years, we will hand over 6,358 units, through the Rumah Idaman project alone,” he said when met at the Rumah Idaman Bandar Saujana Putra Handover Ceremony in Kuala Langat yesterday.
The homes, comprising 1,312 units in two high-rise blocks, with a gross development value of RM375 million, were handed over to owners yesterday.
Meanwhile, MGB Bhd group executive chairman Tan Sri Lim Hock San said his firm takes pride in working with the state government to provide affordable homes.
With its vast experience in construction, the firm is confident it can build quality Rumah Idaman, setting a benchmark for Selangor’s affordable homes segment.
“Our goal is to ensure future Rumah Idaman projects are done well and seen as a stepping stone for continuous growth into the next year,” he said.
Permodalan Negeri Selangor Bhd chief executive officer Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar Raja Salim said he was pleased to have worked with MGB to make the affordable homes project a success.
“This collaboration presents a great impact in making quality affordable homes available to all,” he said.
