KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 25 — Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said the unscheduled water cut due to the temporary suspension of the Sungai Bernam water treatment plant (WTP) operations has ended.
Air Selangor said as at 12pm, the WTP is fully operational and safe, clean treated water is being channelled to users.
Water supply recovery to affected areas has reached 6.3 per cent, with full recovery expected at midnight on Monday, said Air Selangor in a statement today. Recovery times for each location vary based on their distance from the treatment plant and water pressure in the distribution system.
Water tankers have been sent to affected areas, with Air Selangor prioritising critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral ceremonies.
