SHAH ALAM, Sept 24 — Yayasan Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) (MBI) has allocated RM150,000 for laptop donations since January.

Yayasan MBI head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the funding is meant for underprivileged students so they do not lag behind in their education.

“From January to September, we have distributed 35 laptops with an allocation of RM150,000 so students from underprivileged families are not left behind in their studies,” he said.

Previously, Azri said the donated laptops come with SIM cards for 12 months of free internet.

Other than distributing the devices, MBI has also donated sacrificial animals, held the mahabbah haji programme, and provided free tuition, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.
