SHAH ALAM, Sept 14 — More than 1,000 users have downloaded the Selangor People’s Tuition Programme app (e-PTRS) since it was launched by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari on August 13.

Yayasan Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the app contains exam practice questions, learning modules, and recorded lessons by trained teachers, which can be accessed at any time.

“More interestingly, students outside of Selangor have also downloaded this app. We allow this, meaning that the supply of these learning modules is not limited to Selangor alone.

“In fact, our modules are also recognised in other states. The app is equipped with an administrative feature, used by all PTRS coordinating teachers for claims on allowances and meals,” he told Media Selangor in a recent interview.

Azri added that MBI will hold a roadshow to schools throughout Selangor to promote the use of the app.

During the launch, Amirudin said that PTRS has been enhanced with the development of the online app to facilitate 130,000 students in accessing learning materials.

He said the state government will look into the need to provide free Internet data to help students revise at any time, in line with the goal of digitising the learning process.
