KUALA LANGAT, Sept 15 — Pesta Kelaut: Glamping @ Pantai Kelanang is set to draw local and foreign tourists ahead of Visit Selangor Year 2025.
Kuala Langat parliamentary coordinator R. Haridass said the demography of Pantai Kelanang, in the coastal area of Kuala Langat, is an advantage that must be highlighted to visitors.
“As a Kuala Langat native, I see the potential of Pantai Kelanang and its surroundings to be more popular, in line with the growing eco-tourism trend.
“For those new to Kuala Langat, this district has environmental uniqueness, especially recreational beaches such as Pulau Carey, Pantai Tanjung Rhu, Pantai Morib, Pantai Cunang and Pantai Tanjung Sepat,” he said at the launch of the festival yesterday.
He urged residents to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of Pantai Kelanang so it remains an attractive location in Kuala Langat, in addition to Pantai Morib.
“My hope is that the beach’s beauty is maintained so it can remain a destination of choice for family activities. The commitment shown by residents so far has been good as they prioritise cleanliness.
“In the state government, we constantly give support, in particular for landscape development and changes that are visitor-friendly, such as food courts, surau, washrooms and playgrounds,” he said.
The festival, now in its second year, was held in collaboration with various parties including councillors, state Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry, Tourism Selangor, Agrosel Kuala Langat, and Pantai Kelanang volunteers.
Held yesterday and today, the festival featured 18 attractive events for the whole family.
