PM praises, congratulates Ziyad for silver Paralympics win

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim extended his heartfelt congratulations to national para-athlete Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli for securing a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.

“The silver medal won by Ziyad marks the third for the Malaysian contingent in Paris. Well done and congratulations Ziyah!” he said on X (formerly Twitter) today.

Competing at the Stade de France yesterday, Ziyad managed a throw of 17.18 metres (m) in the men’s F20 (intellectual disability) shot put event, earning a silver medal for the national team.
