KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 — RON97 and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will retail for two sen cheaper, at RM3.40 and RM3.16 per litre, respectively, from tomorrow until September 11.
The Finance Ministry in a statement today said the price drop is in line with global crude oil trends.
“The government will keep monitoring market developments, and adjust the diesel retail price based on global oil market fluctuations while supporting price stability,” it said.
RON95 will remain at RM2.05 per litre, while diesel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan stays at RM2.15 per litre.
The prices are based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products, set using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism.
The ministry said the government will continue measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people.
