SUBANG JAYA, Nov 2 — The 2025 Selangor Budget, scheduled to be tabled on November 15, is expected to focus on strengthening the semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) industries.

State executive councillor for investment, trade, and mobility Ng Sze Han said emphasis would be placed on nurturing more local technology experts in these fields, aligning to create high-paying job opportunities.

“I hope the upcoming budget will allocate sufficient funds to promote the semiconductor and AI industries, as they are crucial trends to be explored.

“My hope is also for funding to empower the existing training and courses at institutions like the Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre (STDC),” he told the press after inspecting a landslide area at Taman Wawasan, Puchong, yesterday.

Ng added that the organisation of the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) and the Selangor Aviation Show (SAS) should also be continued next year, further reinforcing the state’s status as a key investment hub in the region.

“As in previous years, I trust in the Menteri Besar’s wisdom in preparing the best budget for Selangor’s economy, ensuring benefits for every layer of society,” he said.

The 2025 Selangor Budget will outline several targeted initiatives to drive the economy and attract investment to the state.

Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said additional specific initiatives would also be introduced to ensure that economic prosperity can be shared by all.
