SRG fall to Falcons, face tough path in MLBB M6

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 — Malaysia’s Mobile Legends Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Season 14 champions, Selangor Red Giants Esports (SRG), face a challenging path to the knockout stage of the MLBB M6 World Championship after falling to Myanmar’s Falcon Esports in their third Swiss round match today.

In the Best of 1 match at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, Michael Angelo Bocado’s (Arcadia) team started strong, leading in kills and gold collection early in the game.

SRG was on the verge of victory at one point, but Falcon Esports displayed a resilient defence, frustrating the home team.

A late-game misstep proved costly for SRG, as their overzealous attempt to secure the lord resulted in three of their players being taken down by Falcon Esports.

The Myanmar representatives capitalised on the advantage to launch a counterattack, eventually destroying SRG’s crystal to claim victory after a 20-minute battle.

This marks SRG’s second loss in the championship, having been defeated by Turkiye’s S2G in their opening match on Thursday.

Their sole win came yesterday against Turkiye’s ULFHEDNAR.

According to the tournament format, only the top eight teams in the Swiss round will advance to the knockout stage.
