SHAH ALAM, Nov 9 — Kampung Tunku Lim Yi Wei is hoping for special funds to repair sports facilities under the upcoming 2025 Selangor Budget, particularly as the state prepares to host the Malaysia Games (Sukma) in 2026.
She said the upgrade process needs to be carried out urgently for the convenience of all parties, especially the athletes competing in the event.
“I hope there will be additional funding to repair and upgrade sports facilities so that all parties, including local authorities, can move forward as quickly as possible.
“If repairs can be carried out immediately, it will benefit athletes by allowing them to adapt, and these facilities can also be used by the public,” Lim told SelangorKini yesterday.
She also hopes the state government will establish a programme to foster connections between elderly care homes and children’s homes through the Selangor Care Economy Action Framework.
“In addition to proper urban planning and zoning for care homes, I also suggest creating a bonding programme between elderly and children’s homes.
“Through this community programme, the activities for the elderly will not be limited to their group alone but can also contribute to the lives of children,” Lim said.
She also hopes that mental health programmes will be reviewed in line with current developments to ensure the care of the state’s residents is well maintained.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari is scheduled to present the state budget on Friday (November 15) at 3pm in the Annex Building of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly.
The budget report can be followed on SelangorKini’s portal, the Selangor Journal, and the SelangorKini editions in Mandarin and Tamil.
The public can also watch the live broadcast on Selangor TV and Media Selangor’s Facebook page.
The presentation will also be broadcast on Media Selangor’s social media platforms, including Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Telegram, and TikTok, as well as on MYTV MANA-MANA.
