GOMBAK, Nov 10 — The Selangor State Unity Government Secretariat has been formed to strengthen cooperation between Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He added that the secretariat will arrange several programmes for both blocs to jointly organise ahead of elections.

“Among the programmes are gatherings with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to strengthen relationships.

“Cooperation will be increasingly solidified in the run-up to elections, using the central-to-Selangor module,” Amirudin told the media at an event at Sungai Tua square here yesterday.

On Thursday, the Selangor State Unity Government Secretariat held its inaugural meeting, chaired by Selangor Unity Government secretary Mohd Khairuddin Othman.

The gathering was held to discuss the establishment of a secretariat committee and moves to unite parties under the Unity Government in Selangor.
