Wakaf Selangor receives RM1 mln to help underserved mosque

SHAH ALAM, NOV 10 — The Selangor Wakaf Corporation on Friday received a wakaf, or donation, of RM1 million from Prima Saujana Kajang Mosque.

The agency in a Facebook post said the donation was meant for Al-Falah Sungai Ramal Dalam Mosque in Kajang.

“May this contribution benefit the Al-Falah Sungai Ramal Dalam Mosque congregation, and let this charity flow to donors who contribute their whole lives,” he said.

Earlier, the donation was presented by Prima Saujana Kajang Mosque nazir Mohamad Asri Harun to Wakaf Selangor chief executive officer Anuar Hamzah Tohar.

Wakaf Selangor said its representatives, on Friday, delivered a sermon on preaching the understanding and awareness of the benefits of wakaf.

“We also open wakaf cash counters to allow congregation to perform wakaf through pay cuts, directly, and QR code,” he said.

Wakaf Selangor said cash donations can be made through its website, while direct debit for wakaf can be set up on this website.
