AirAsia offers 27,000 fixed-fare seats from peninsula to Sabah, Sarawak during CNY

SEPANG, Dec 3 — AirAsia has launched 27,000 fixed-fare tickets for travel from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah and Sarawak in conjunction with Chinese New Year.

AirAsia group chief commercial officer Paul Caroll announced that the all-in fare for flights from Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru to Kuching, Bintulu, Miri, and Sibu is RM328, while flights to Kota Kinabalu, Tawau, and Sandakan are priced at RM388.

Caroll said AirAsia will operate 152 additional flights to meet the expected surge in travel demand during the festive period from January 24 to February 4, 2025.

“With the Lunar New Year just a month away, we are excited to usher in the Year of the Snake, symbolising resilience and determination.

“To mark this occasion, AirAsia is proud to offer affordable fixed fares, ensuring Malaysians can reunite with their loved ones during this special time,” he said at the fare launch at the AirAsia headquarters today.
