Exco, MBI chief vow to do more to serve people after given awards from Sultan

KLANG, Dec 11 — State executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Izham Hashim said he is determined to continue doing his best to ensure the needs of the people and the state are fulfilled.

Having received the Darjah Kebesaran Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Selangor in conjunction with Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj’s official 79th birthday celebration at Istana Alam Shah here today, Izham said he wants to be more focused as there are many challenges to be overcome, including climate change

“I will serve better. Selangor is an advanced, dense state, so it must contribute and put in more work than other states. This award will become my new drive to improve the state,” he said.

Earlier, Izham was among 94 people honoured with awards and medals in conjunction with His Royal Highness’ official 79th birthday celebration.

Meanwhile, chief executive officer of Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, Dato’ Saipolyazan M. Yusop, who received the Darjah Kebesaran Dato’ — Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, aims to advance the state government’s subsidiaries.

“This has encouraged me and I will ensure MBI will contribute more. May this award benefit me and MBI.

“When conferred an award, it comes with great responsibility, so I will make more effort to contribute to the benefit to Selangor and the people,” said Saipolyazan.
