SHAH ALAM, Dec 14 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today dismissed rumours that he may resign before the end of his term.
“I have seen all sorts of speculations going viral these last two or three days. Per His Royal Highness’ advice for me … I will remain in Selangor until the end of my term to ensure the stability of the economy and the Selangor Unity Government,” he said in a short statement today, confirmed by his political secretary.
There have been reports about Selangor potentially getting a new Menteri Besar next year, and that Amirudin is set for a federal seat.
