Selangor celebrates World #QuranHour

GOMBAK, SEP 11: Noble efforts to encourage the reading of the Al-Quran among Muslims are strengthened through the organising of World #QuranHour at the International Islamic University Malaysia’s (UIAM) Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque recently.
The #QuranHour campaign was created to encourage unity among Muslims around the world and to uphold the sanctity of the Al-Quran as the holy book of Muslims.
With over 3,000 participants, this programme will be able to instil a sense of love for the Al-Quran as well as encourage the Muslim society to read the holy book.
This initiative is part of the effort to encourage Muslims worldwide to read the Al-Quran at least an hour daily.

Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and his wife Datin Seri Shamshida Taharin were present to show their support to this noble effort.
Other leaders present included UIAM President Tan Sri Datuk Seri Utama Dr Rais Yatim dan KEADILAN Vice President Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin.
The programme also saw the participation of foreign delegates, who are also UIAM students, including those from Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Guinea, Yemen, Algeria and Kenya.
