BY: ERMIZI MUHAMAD
GOMBAK, OCT 7: The 2017 Budget that to be tabled in late October will focus on the welfare and economic issues of high and middle income citizens.
Dato’ Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said that this is due to these groups being burdened with the Goods and Service Tax (GST) that continue to put pressure on the economy of the rakyat.
“This budget certainly focuses on upgrading the B40 group as well as low and middle-income earners following the implementation of GST which is shrinking household incomes.
“State Government is in the midst of identifying measures and initiatives which will be announced soon,” he said to reporters.
He was speaking at the Masjid Al-Khairiyah, Taman Seri Gombak, after Friday prayers.
