Selangor received RM3.8 billion investment as of August

SUBANG JAYA, OCT 20: Selangor received a total of RM3.8 billion in investments since August, said Investment, Small & Medium Industries, Trade and Transport Exco Dato’ Teng Chang Khim.
He said that the development placed Selangor in second place behind Johor and a rank above Penang.
“This is good news for Selangor especially in the current lukewarm economic situation.
“Taking into account this latest development, we are optimistic of meeting the RM6 billion target by the end of this year,” he said during a media conference.

He had accompanied Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin to officiate the Selangor International Expo 2016 at Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC).
Teng said that the state government had continued to attract foreign investors through a series of visits to 29 major cities in the world carried out in the past four months.
“We visited major cities in Australia, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, the United States, Middle East and Japan.
“Other countries included India, China, Indonesia and most recently, United Kingdom,” he said.
