MB conveys condolences for the loss of PKNS staff

SHAH ALAM, Oct 17 — Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari today expressed his condolences for the passing of Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) employee Azalan Miswan, who was killed in a bus accident in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey, yesterday.

“I would like to express my sincere condolences for the passing of Hj Azalan Miswan, a staff of PKNS.

“Azalan was among 24 other PKNS staff who were scheduled to be in Turkey until October 21 as part of their annual visit,” Amirudin said in a statement today.

Amirudin had also extended his prayers to those who were involved in the bus crash and 10 others who are currently being treated for injuries.

“I have followed the latest development and that [those injured] are receiving treatment at the Afyonkaranhisar Hospital. Ten of the passengers had suffered injuries from the crash on the way from Pamukkale to Capadoccia.

“I would like to thank those who have helped, especially the Malaysian Embassy in Ankara,” he said.

Meanwhile, Economic Affairs Minister Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali had also extended his condolences to the family of the deceased and those injured from the incident.

“I wish to express my sincere condolences to the victim’s family as well as to PKNS for their loss. May they be given the patience and perseverance to accept the provisions of Allah Almighty. I also pray that the others would recover quickly and safely,” he said in a statement today.

Earlier today, Wisma Putra had in a statement confirmed the incident involving a tourist bus, which took place in Afyonkarahisar at 11.35am local time, yesterday.
